Subscribed 1/27/1813, Frederick County, Maryland (Land Rec. WR-43)
At the request of Richard Templing the following, Deed is
recorded 27th January 1813, to wit;
This Indenture made this nineteenth day of December in
the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twelve Between Samuel Templin, of
Frederick County and State of Maryland on the one part and Richard Templing of
same County and State of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Samuel Templing
for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred and six pounds lawful money
to him in hand paid the receipt whereof the said Samuel Templing doth hereby
acknowledge and thereof and there from every part and parcel thereof doth fully
clearly and absolutely acquit exonerate and discharge the said Richard Templing
his heirs, executors and administrators hath given, granted, bargained and sold
aliened, releas’d enfeaff’d and confirmed and by these presents doth give,
grant, bargain and sell alien release enfeoff and confirm unto the said Richard
Templing his heirs and assigns forever all that piece or parcel of Land lying
and being in Frederick County aforesaid and being part of several tracts (to
wit) The No survey on Douts neglect Fieldare Manor and Nothing Venture Nothing
Gain Begin: seeing at a stone planted for the Beginning of Sarah Ridgley part
or parcel of Land as convey’d to Peter Coblentz in Trust for a certain number
of years and running thence South thirty eight degrees West one perch to the old
road and with the same toward Frederick Town South fifty one degrees East forty
three and three quarter perches South twenty three degrees East sixty perches
South fifty degrees East twelve perches South sixty three degrees East forty
perches to a locust post standing at the end of the tenth line of Nothing
Venture Nothing Gain aforesaid then North thirteen degrees East ninety two
perches to the Twinpike road then by and with the said road the following
Courses and distances North sixty degrees West sixteen perches North forty
three degrees West thirty four perches North eight degrees West sixty four
perches North thirty eight degrees West ten perches then leaving said road and
by a straight line to the beginning containing, and laid out for sixty six acres
of land more or less. Together with all and singular the buildings,
improvements, conveniences and advantages with the appurtenances belonging or
in any manner of way appertaining. To have and to hold the said piece or parcel
of land and all and singular the premises with the appurtenances herein
mentioned or intended to be hereby granted with all the right, title and estate
of him the said Samuel Templing both in law and equity unto the said Richard
Templing his heirs and assigns forever and the said Samuel Templing for himself
and his heirs the said piece or parcel of land and all said singular the
premises with the appurtenances unto the said Richard Templing his heirs and
assigns against him the said Samuel Templing and his heirs and all persons
claiming under him or them shall and will warrant forever defend by these
presents. In Witness whereof the said Samuel Templing hath hereunto subscribed
his name and affixed his seal the day and year first within written.

Which is thus endorsed, to wit:
Frederick County, to wit; Be it remembered that on the
day and year first within written Samuel Templing, party to the within deed
came before us the subscribers two of the Justices of the peace in and for the
County aforesaid and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his
act and deed and the Land and premises therein described to be right title and
estate of the within names Richard Templing his heirs and assignes forever
according to the true intent and meaning thereof – Taken & certified the
day and year above written.
