DEEDS
COCKE COUNTY, TN DEEDS
The following Delaware
Deeds show the name as
Templin/Tamplin/Tamplen/Tampling. Since the Deeds are in the same area of Sussex County and appear to be relating to the same family, John
& Richard, etc., we believe these are the same family. It is also our
belief that one branch of this family which went down through Virginia continued with the name of Tamplin. The spelling of
this name opens up more areas for research and discussion. We are continuously
searching for the answers to this puzzle but by all indications of the
documents that we now have, we firmly believe this to be the James Templin who
married Mary Salmon and went to Kentucky and Ohio. If anyone has any information that agrees or
disagrees with this information please contact us as we are definitely
searching for documentation on this lineage.
