Samuel Templin
Of
Frederick
County Maryland
I believe this Samuel was my 5th Grandfather. My
Father told me that three brothers came to Tennessee and that they were from the
Dutch Netherlands. That story matches that three sons of Samuel ( William,
Samuel Jr, and Jacob) did in fact come to Tennessee. I believe that Samuel came
from the Dutch Netherlands and settled in Maryland. At this date I have not
found a ship entry for this.
It is believed that Samuel
was married twice. However this has not been proven. One wife was named Hanna.
We do not have proof of her last name, though some believe it to be Jacobs.
Samuel’s will was wrote 2
Jan. 1816 and probated 28 Feb. 1816, which
would give his death at a time in between these two dates. His will did not
name his wife, that would indicate that she proceeded him in death.
